Dad’s House Joins the Fight Against Suicide

Dad’s House is honored to be joining the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention for the Out of the Darkness Community Walk at the Stadium of Champions in Hopkinsville, KY on September 21, 2025.

Suicide touches countless lives, but the communities Dads House is committed to serving are particularly at risk. According to the Gillings School of Global Public Health, people who have been formerly incarcerated face suicide rates twice the national average. For children who have experienced the trauma of foster care, the risk is even greater—3 to 9 times higher, as reported by the National Library of Medicine.

This is why your participation and support at the Hopkinsville walk matter. With many local affiliates and community partners coming together, we hope to show a powerful wave of unity for the life-saving work that AFSP is leading.

Join us in supporting Dads House, AFSP, and the Hopkinsville community as we stand together to confront the epidemic of suicide.

Be who you needed.
